This historic bridge was built at Borkhandi by Zalim Singh in 1818. It is not really used anymore except by motorcycles, cyclists and pedestrians. There are three plaques on the bridge in Hindi, English and Urdu giving interesting details.

Note
The bridge is not used very much anymore. Capt. Patrick Young Waugh (1788-1829) did a pen and ink drawing of the bridge, inscribed thus : Hastings Bridge near Kotah erected by Zalim Singh. It is named after Lord Hastings (not Warren Hastings!)
